What are the benefits of a shade sail over other products?

The great thing about shade sails is that the bigger they get, the more cost effective they become, making them an ideal option for large commercial spaces such as car parks, playgrounds and public or resort swimming pools.

The other great benefit of shade sails is that we can cut the poles to any size and install them on an angle – this allows us more flexibility to configure the actual shade sail so that it fits into your space perfectly and casts shade into the desired spots.

Should I have my shade sail installed over my pool area before or after the pool is complete?

Having you shade sail installed after the pool is built but before the surrounding landscaping is completed is the best option. It gives us more flexibility as to the placement of the shade sail and it all means that our access to install will be easier, reducing the installation cost.

Repairs vs Replacement

If your shadecloth has some wear and tear then we may be able to repair it by stitching up any small rips or holes. If the shadecloth has already been repaired several times then it may be time to have it replaced. Our team will inspect the fabric and provide you with our professional opinion regarding whether we think repairs or replacement are the more viable solution.

What colours do you have available?

Hundreds! All the metal poles and fixtures are powdercoated (if required) and we can usually match the colour to your existing fixtures such as downpipes. Our shade cloth fabric literally comes in hundreds of colour options – we have dozens of different shades of blue to choose from!

Can you provide me with a quote?

Yes, but we will need to come onsite and do a measure and quote first. We will send out one of our professional installers who will discuss the different product options with you as well as your colour options, and will provide you with a comprehensive quote following a measure and quote.

Can you quote for different product options?

We certainly can! If you are undecided whether you would like a shade sail, shade umbrella or one of our awning products, let us know and we will provide you with a quote for each option so that you can see the cost difference.

Insurance

We can work directly with insurance assessors as well as directly with claimant. We are more than happy to supply reports, photos and quotes as required for insurance claims.

Insurance Claims for Shade Sail Storm Damage

Supershades work with insurance companies and claimants to supply reports and quotes for shade sail damage. Having a shade sail, umbrella or awning installed on your home or property is an investment, and in many cases, any damage caused by strong wind, storms or wild weather is covered under the ‘storm damage’ section of your insurance policy. Supershades work with both insurance assessors as well as claimants to supply all of the required information and quotes in a fast and professional manner so that your claim can be processed as quickly as possible, and your new sail, umbrella or awning can be installed.

Insurance Assessors

We work with insurance assessors, providing them with everything that they need to finalise insurance claims on storm damaged shade sails and solutions. Our team are more than happy to fill out paperwork or provide a report outlining the extent of the damage as well as provide photographs and quotes for repairs and/or replacement options.

Claimants

Sometimes, rather than provide an insurance assessor, insurance providers will ask the claimant to source their own quotes from local shade sail installers. In these cases, we are more than happy to provide you with a comprehensive quote including any details or pricing breakdown that is required by your insurance provider. We have been working in the industry and providing insurance claim quotes for 20 years so we have a good understanding of the level of detail that is required by all the big insurance companies.

General Repairs

If your shade sail or shade solution has been damaged and isn’t covered by insurance, our team can still help you repair it. Often, if the damage is minor, we can stitch or patch the shade cloth fabric. If this is the case, then it is better that you get in touch with us sooner rather than later – if the damage becomes more extensive, we may have to replace the shade cloth fabric rather than repair it.
